Twinspot Snapper
Lutjanus bohar
Also known as the Red Bass, this is a powerful and hardy predator. Juveniles have two distinct white spots on their back which disappear as they age. They are extremely aggressive and should only be kept with other large, assertive fish.
About the Snappers Family
Snappers are hardy, active predators that grow quite large. They are best suited for large fish-only tanks with other aggressive species. They are voracious eaters that will consume any smaller fish or invertebrates, so they are not suitable for reef tanks or community tanks with small peaceful fish.
