Tassled Filefish
Chaetodermis penicilligerus
A very unique looking fish with "tassels" or leafy appendages all over its body. They are very personable and can become quite tame, but they grow large and require a significant amount of swimming space.
About the Filefish Family
Filefish are unique oddballs with a rough, sandpaper-like skin texture. The most popular species, the Aiptasia-Eating Filefish, is often introduced specifically to control pest anemones. While generally peaceful, they are not always 100% reef-safe and may nip at soft corals or polyps once their preferred food source is gone.
