Sergeant Major Damselfish
Abudefduf saxatilis
A larger species of damselfish with yellow on the upper body and vertical black bars. They are active swimmers and can be quite pushy in smaller tanks.
About the Damselfish Family
Damselfish are some of the hardiest fish available, making them a very common choice for new tanks. While small and colorful, they can become notoriously aggressive and territorial as they mature. They are closely related to Clownfish but are much more feisty, so care should be taken when choosing tank mates.
