Gobies are a hardy, peaceful fish that do well in almost any aquarium. They tend to remain on the bottom of the tank, many digging burrows and sifting sand for food. They're generally peaceful with all other fish but may become territorial and act aggressive towards other similar gobies.
Fine grain sand should be used in the tank rather than gravel since gobies tend to burrow and sift the sand through their mouths looking for food. They're also notorious jumpers so a tight fitting lid is required.
